Snickerdoodles

1 C butter
1 12/ C sugar
2 3/4 C flour
2 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp almond extract
2 C pecans
2 eggs

Cream butter, sugar, eggs, almond extract until smooth. Stir in flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt. Add pecans if desired.

Roll into small balls and roll in a mixture of 3 tsp sugar and 2 tsp cinnamon.

Bake in 375′ oven for 8-10 minutes. DO NOT over bake.
